Realme launched it's new realme 3 smartphone on 4th of march with a killer price starting from 8,999 ($127). Realme has been into the Indian smartphone market for just 9-10 months, All realme series smartphones were sold more than 2 Million units, received 4.5/5.0 ratings, and more than 430k reviews. Also realme is an No. 1 emerging smartphone brand in India (By CMR), and even ranked No. 4 in smartphone brand in Q4 2018 (By IDC & Counterpoint). Such a success in a short of time is tremendous! So what's packed in the New Realme 3? How does it compete Redmi Note 7? Let's find out!
Talking about the display, you get a 19.5:9 aspect ratio display panel with a HD+ resolution of 1520 x 720. It is also said to be protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The display size is of 15.8 cm (6.2"). The colors on the screen are bright and seems to have no issues to use it under sunlight. The device looks premium in feel because of a 3D Unibody Design and a Gradient styled back.
Coming to the ports of this device, well this time you don't get a USB Type-C and even fast charging, unlike Redmi Note 7. But the 4230mAh battery charges in 2-2.5 Hrs. with the regular 10w charger provided in the box. Well comparing to Note 7, you get a Full Size SIM slot instead of that Hybrid Slot. The SIM Slot in realme 3 has 2 Dual 4G VoLTE support and 256GB Ex-storage.
The camera on this device has been the highlight feature for the budget range market since realme 1. So this time around, realme is giving you a 13 megapixel CMOS sensor (1.12µ/F2.0). This also includes Portrait mode, AI Beautification, HDR. Going to back, you get a dual-camera setup of 13+2 megapixels (1.12µ+1.75µ/F1.7+F2.4). This also includes AI Modes, Chroma Boost, Nightscape mode.
More customized and most importantly Ad free UI, Color OS 6 now comes with the most requested app drawer for all the stock android fans. Still the operating system is going to have some bugs, which manufacturer is going to fix soon via OTA. Although you get latest Android 9.0 Pie out-of the box.
Realme 3 gets a powerful new gen helio P70 chipset which churns power up to 2.1GHz with AI capabilities and a Mali G-72 GPU. So whether its your day-to-day work, gaming, entertainment, everything is going to be with an ease. Compiled with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB storage is enough to keep your device lag free, unless you use a Micro-SD card.

Realme 3 is overall a great device, the specs. aren't that great if heavily compared with Note 7. But the price at what Realme is offering, specs. doesn't matter much. Looking at the prices, 3GB/32GB is costing 8,999 where as 4GB/64GB is costing at 10,999. Well that's the price, I'm sure all the budget buyers will be focused towards this device.
